Home Delivered Meals (HDM) Urgent!
Lake City Center is dedicated to addressing the economic and social struggles faced by at-risk seniors in our community. Our programs are designed to provide both immediate nutritional support and long-term social engagement, fostering a healthier and more connected community for those who are often isolated and in need. The rising cost of food and increased demand for our services have created a significant gap in our ability to meet the needs of our senior community. Currently, we have vulnerable seniors on a waitlist for our Home Delivered Meals program, underscoring the urgent need for additional funding. $5 a day can help feed one senior. In these trying times, our community’s strength is our greatest asset. Any donation, big or small, makes a difference. Your support can help us purchase food, cover operational costs, and expand our services to reach every senior in need.
Home Delivered Meals is a home-delivered meals program for qualifying individuals 60 years of age or older who are frail or homebound by reason of illness or incapacitating disability. Lake City Center delivers to Post Falls, Hauser, and Huetter on Mondays and CDA, Dalton Gardens, and Hayden on Wednesdays & Fridays. Each meal is prepared fresh daily by LCC staff along with many volunteers. We serve an average of 280+ clients. Volunteers needed! Lunch at Lake City Center
Our Kitchen Staff, and a team of volunteers here at LCC, prepares delicious nutritious meals including dessert and beverage, Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays at noon. The cost for seniors 60 and over is a recommended donation of $5. For those under 60, the price is $10, and children 8 and under are $6.00 each. Menus can be picked up at the Center or click on the Lunch Menu on our home page tab. Please make reservations especially for large groups at least a day in advance before 11 A.M. by calling the Center. 208-667-4628 Thank you.
